About Us

The Pixie Puppet Tree Traveling Theater was born when creative artists Carolyn Mogey, Patti Van Brederode and Jennifer Burke put their talents as storytellers, puppeteers and performers together.

Patti & Carolyn met at the Susquehanna Waldorf School where Carolyn performed weekly puppet shows. As serendipity would have it, Carolyn asked Patti to narrate for one of her puppet shows. The magic of puppetry blossomed and Carolyn became her teacher. Now, working side by side, they perform together on a regular basis for schools, libraries, Heritage Creek Summer Camp in Mt. Joy, PA, and birthday parties.

Jennifer is a natural performer, and she and Patti wanted to work together for many years. Finally when timing was just right, these ladies all came together and the rest is history!

Carolyn, Patti & Jennifer make most of the puppets that they perform with. Table puppets are made mostly of needle felted wool. Marionettes are made with hand-dyed silk and wool. They set the stage with simple wooden props, silks, and other lovely elements to help tell the story and ignite children's imaginations.

Together, they create magic and wonder on the puppetry stage; a stage which they can bring to any venue. They bring fairytales, folktales, and their own original stories to life with music and beauty.
